These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of salutations.app (the "Service"), operated by Salutations ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Salutations lets people create shared tribute boards where contributors can leave messages, photos, and videos for a recipient. The board owner controls the board; contributors post cards to it.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using the Service you confirm you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm you have permission from a parent or guardian.

We reserve the right to remove any content or suspend access to any board or account that violates these Terms, without notice.
You retain ownership of any content (messages, photos, videos) you post. By posting content you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store and display it solely for the purpose of operating the Service — that is, showing it to the board's viewers.
You confirm that you own or have the necessary rights to any content you upload, and that it does not violate anyone else's rights.
Paid unlocks are one-off payments for a fixed duration (1, 3, 6, or 12 months). Payments are processed securely by Stripe.
Free boards are subject to a post limit (currently 12 posts) and a time limit (currently 14 days from creation). Once either limit is reached the board is locked and no further posts can be added unless the board is unlocked. Locked boards and all their content are permanently deleted 30 days after locking. We will email the board owner when a board is locked. We may adjust free tier limits at any time with reasonable notice.
We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend or discontinue the Service at any time. In the event of permanent discontinuation we will provide reasonable advance notice where possible.
Board owners can delete their board and all associated cards and media at any time from the board's admin view. Contributors can delete their own cards using the link in their browser (stored as a cookie) or by contacting the board owner. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or that data will never be lost.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data or loss of revenue. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where applicable consumer protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. For material changes we will make reasonable efforts to notify board owners by email.
